Disclaimer: I am not a health or fitness professional.
I am someone who likes to stare down challenges and push myself out of my comfort zone. I live for the thrill of running on trails, sloshing through mud, climbing things, and carrying heavy objects up mountains. I am on a journey of going from a complete couch potato to an Elite OCR athlete. Follow along on my blog and social media.
How it started.
I am based in Southeastern Pennsylvania, I grew up involved with sports and horseback riding. However I was always “stocky” or “chubby” or “big boned” – whatever word you want to use for overweight. After graduating college I was fat, unhappy, and doing things I didn't even enjoy. I needed change. I started my fitness journey in July 2012 and my life has changed dramatically to say the least. I completed my first 5k in November of 2012 and my first OCR in April 2013.
Where I'm at now.
I became hooked after that first OCR and started a pursuit to reach Elite OCR athlete status. I continue to expand my knowelege and open my mind to new and better ways to live the athlete life. I use this blog as a journal of my journey and hope that others may find a little bit of inspiration to make a change in their own life.
