I decided to do a race less than 12 hours before said race happened. I really wasn’t going to do it. My training has been improving very slowly over the past few months, and included a 2 week setback. Unable to defer my race registration and since my boyfriend was running the race anyways, I decided the night before to run the Terrain Race 5k so that we didn’t have to cram in my workout before our evening plans. Totally a good reason, right? No worries, we had deemed it safe to run as long as I wasn’t stupid.
