In all honestly, I was only able to maintain my fitness level after the PA Sprint, as opposed to making progress on it. There was not much time between that race and the Boston Super, and I did some traveling in between. Regardless, I was looking forward to a flatter race and excited to see how I handled the increased distance. Unfortunately the weather decided to make a not-so-nice day for a race. I was soaking wet before the race even began. A light drizzle was taking place when my Competitive wave started. As we started off through corn fields and pastures I understood why most people hate the terrain on this course. I picked my footing carefully and tried to stick to a pace that would carry me through the 8 miles that lay ahead.
