Well the 2014 OCR season concluded at the end of October with me finishing my trifecta at the South Carolina Super. I also couldn't walk for two weeks after that. No, literally. I tried to play soccer two days after the race and re-aggravated a ten year old bulged disc. I was on steroids and then rehabbed for a month or so. Then we were mid-holiday season and things were crazy. I packed on a few pounds and eased back into training. As January rolled around I started kicking it up a notch. I started doing Sunday morning trail runs no matter the weather, training in a 20 pound weight vest, and extending workouts to at least 2 hours long. I also bought a spear off of Matt “The Bear” (Spartan Pro Team Member) and practiced that until the cold and weather interfered. Will be starting that again soon.
I’ve been signing up for OCR’s and figuring out my schedule. It is updated and posted on the website for you to check out. Pretty excited about it. Mid-April will be here before I know it! I'm aiming for a triple trifecta, at least a double. Vermont will be mine. I am also shooting to lose another 25-30 pounds to reach my goal weight. A pull up, the rope climb, and wearing a bikini in public are on my list of "to do's" as well. With one month down I've only got 11 more to go! Bring on 2015!
